Hogwarts Legacy is the latest Harry Potter-inspired video game that features an immersive overworld set 200 years before the events of the main series.
That said, as you progress down its storyline, you’ll come across the quest “The Elf, The Nab Sack, And The Loom.” And near the end of this quest is a task that requires conjuring an Enchanted Loom.

However, most players on their initial playthrough have been scratching their heads trying to conjure an Enchanted Loom. To help you out, here’s a guide that explains how you can summon the magic-imbued apparatus in Hogwarts Legacy.
What Is The Enchanted Loom In Hogwarts Legacy
The Enchanted Loom is one of the many crafting tables players can summon in the Room of Requirement. That said, Instead of weaving fabrics like a regular loom, the Enchanted Loom upgrades and assigns traits to your gear.
You’ll also be making frequent visits to the House of Requirement to boost your gear’s offensive and defensive qualities and overpower whatever the game sends at you.
How To Conjure The Enchanted Loom In Hogwarts Legacy
As previously mentioned, your final task in The Elf, The Nab Sack, And The Loom quest is to summon the Enchanted Loom in the House of Requirements. But before you get to conjuring the Enchanted Loom, you’ll need the Conjuring spell, which you’ve already got since you’re this far in the game. You’ll also need the spellcraft Loom from Deek and 8 Moonstones to conjure it.
With all that said, inside the Room of Requirements, equip the conjuring spell in any of your spell slots and follow the mentioned steps:
- Start by casting the Conjuring spell.
- Select Utility near the top right corner in the newly popped window.

- Afterward, select the Enchanted Loom, the second option from the left.

Doing these steps will conjure the Enchanted Loom, and you’re free to pick any color of your preference for the Loom. Moreover, you’re also at liberty to place the Loom in any corner of the Room of Requirements.

However, if you’ve placed the Loom somewhere that is not your liking, or if the color of the Loom isn’t in sync with the room decor, you can simply use the Altering spell.
How To Use The Enchanted Loom To Upgrade Gear
Once you’ve placed the Loom in the Room of Requirement, interacting with it opens up a menu, which can be hard to follow initially.
There are three types of gear in Hogwarts Legacy that can be upgraded and assigned traits: Superb (blue), Extraordinary (purple), and Legendary (orange). Each of these gear types can be upgraded up to 3 times. However, you can’t add the same tier Trait to every gear. Here’s it works:
- Tier I Traits can be weaved for Superb, Extraordinary and Legendary gear.
- Tier II Traits can only be applied to Extraordinary and Legendary gear.
- Tier III Traits are only applicable to Legendary gear.
Moreover, applying upgrades and traits requires specific ingredients, which you can farm from your Magical Beasts by tending to them in the Vivariums. Aside from that, the Brood & Peck store in Hogsmeade also sells such items.

Now that we’re through with the nitty gritty of upgrading gears, you can either upgrade or apply traits to your gear in the menu that opens up after interacting with Loom.
Final Thoughts
The Enchanted Loom is an equipment that is essential if you’re looking to have an easy time against the plethora of enemies present in Hogwarts Legacy. Hopefully, you’ll have much clarity about it by the end of this guide.
