If you’re at all curious about what’s going on with the Xbox One in the next year, you’re in luck. Phil Spencer, that guy who’s always talking about the Xbox, talked a little bit more to people on Twitter. Gamers had the chance to ask any questions their hearts desired, and here’s what we learned - or didn’t learn- from Phil’s answers.
He’s super excited about the upcoming year. No surprise there. “Shipping more new IP than we have in a long time. Good challenge to make new IP succeed.” Spencer said in reference to a question about the plans for 2016. And will that new IP have special limited editions? “We haven’t locked all the versions of each game yet but we know some fans like LE with more content so we’ll look at it.”
If you were hoping to stream your Xbox 360 to Windows 10, like you can with the Xbox One, you’re out of luck. This was the only question in which Spencer gave a clear answer in that this technology is not being developed.
If you played Alan Wake and liked it, then you might be clamoring for a sequel. Spencer said “Right now all of our focus with Remedy Games is on Quantum Break, but as we finish I’m sure we’ll talk about the future.”
So many of the answers are predictably vague. While Phil has been known to say what he wants without the stamp of approval from the public relations, he still knows the strategy very well.
