ReCore Is Definitely Coming to PC

Microsoft has confirmed that ReCore will be coming to both Xbox One and Windows PC. The news was sort of buried in a post from corporate vice president Mike Nichols, who discussed the company’s 2015 accomplishments and 2016 plans.

Nichols listed the 2016 Microsoft exclusives that have been announced so far, including Xbox games, Windows 10 games, and games that will ship on both Xbox One and Windows 10. On that list is ReCore.

There still isn’t a solid release date for the game, however-‘2016’ is all we’ve got on that front, despite other games on the list having earned seasonal release dates. (‘Spring 2016’ was initially brought up back in June.)

We got our first look at ReCore at E3 last year. We don’t know a lot so far, but the trailer shows a young female protagonist with a robotic dog companion. The two of them wander through a Tatooine-esque desert, and she eventually has to fight off some attacking robot spiders with the help of her canine friend. The idea seems to be that the player will transport their companion’s life core to different bodies depending on the situation.

ReCore comes from former Mega Man producer Keiji Inafune, Comcept (Mighty No. 9), and Armature Studio (Metroid Prime).
