There are a number of reasons your game could be crashing. Go through each of the steps below to ensure your game stops crashing.

Ensure You Have The Minimum Recommended Requirements

First off you will want to ensure that your PC has the minimum recommended requirements to run Sons of the Forest.

We highly recommend having at least the minimum requirements to run this game as even playing on the minimum requirements will likely give poor performance.

Adjust Your Graphics Settings

Before launching the game, you will want to ensure that you have the latest drivers for your graphics card. You can do this by downloading and installing them from your manufacturer’s website.

Verify The Integrity Of Game Files

There is a chance that certain files have been corrupted during the download or installation process. Steam has a built-in feature that will scan files and check if any are corrupt, then fix them if they are. To use this feature, follow the steps below:

1. Open your Steam Client
2. Navigate to games
3. Right-click on Sons Of The Forest –> Properties
4. Navigate to the ‘Local Files’ tab
5. Click on ‘Verify the integrity of game files’
