Itch.io has gathered together 151 games including Gone Home, Proteus, and Catlateral Damage, and packaged them together in a bundle, called A Good Bundle, that will benefit the ACLU and Planned Parenthood.
Unlike many bundles which let you pay what you want, this bundle has three tier levels. If you pay $2, you will get 89 games including Depression Quest, which was developed by Zoe Quinn. At the $8 level you’ll get another 36 games, which include Subterrairum and Metamorphabet. And if you give $20 or more, you will get all 151 games included in the bundle, which basically means you’re getting the games for $0.13 each.
115 creators contributed to the bundle, and the simple description on the website says, “This is A Good Bundle. A bunch of creators are sharing their works to combat some of the ugliness in our world. 100% of the proceeds from this bundle will be split 50-50 between the ACLU ( American Civil Liberties Union) and Planned Parenthood.”
The description doesn’t mention anything about the recent United States Presidential Election, but many people have been expressing their fear that under the Trump administration civil liberties and reproductive rights will be threatened. These organizations are dedicated to protect those rights, and many are expressing the sentiment that we may need the ACLU and Planned Parenthood more than ever in the coming four years.
A Good Bundle will be available until November 29, 2016.
