Nintendo is taking the Switch on tour starting in January, so that a select group of people and some lucky fans will get some hands-on experience with the company’s newest console.
The Switch will be stopping in six North American cities starting January 13 and going through March 5th. The tour hits the major cities, like New York and Toronto. Here’s the list of the cities and the dates:
- New York – Jan. 13-15
- Toronto – Jan. 27-29
- Washington, D.C. – Feb. 10-12
- Chicago – Feb. 17-19
- San Francisco – Feb. 24-26
- Los Angeles – March 3-5
In a press release, Nintendo said that the first two days of each tour will be invite only, but the last day will be open to the public. Nintendo did warn that space will be extremely limited on that third day, so it will be first come first serve, which will more than likely lead to long lines of people camped out, hoping to take a turn with the new system.
For everyone else who doesn’t live near those cities, or for people who do not want to wait days in a line for the chance to play around with the Switch, Nintendo is bringing the console to a few conventions. They will be at PAX South in San Antonio, PAX East in Boston, and SXSW in Austin.
In a little less than a month, Nintendo will be revealing new details about the Switch via a livestreamed presentation event on January 12.
