Independent Games Festival 2017 Now Accepting Game Submissions

You can now submit your game to the Independent Games Festival 2017. The festival offers $50,000 in prizes for game designers, and is open to independent game developers all across the world.

The deadline to submit your game is October 24, 2016. They are giving out eight awards: the Seumas McNally Grand Prize (30,000), Excellence in Visual Art ($3,000), Excellence in Audio ($3,000), Excellence in Design ($3,000), Excellence in Narrative ($3,000), Nuovo Award ($5,000), Best Student Game ($3,000) and the Audience Award ($3,000).

The finalists for the awards will be announced in January. If you are a finalist, you’ll be given show passes and will be invited to the IGF ceremony at the Game Developers Conference 2017. GDC will be held from February 27-March 3 2017. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on March 1, 2017.

The entry fee is $75 for developers and $25 for students. For all the nitty gritty submission rules and details, check out their info page. Last year the Seumas McNally Grand Prize award went to Her Story by Sam Barlow.
