Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture Wins British Writing Award

Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture has received the top prize for video game writing at the British Writer’s Guild Awards. The awards honor writing across all different mediums, including television, film, and even radio.

The Chinese Room’s Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, which was scripted by Dan Pinchbeck, was among a selection of games chosen for their writing. The list also included Her Story and Sunless Sea.

(The Writers Guilds of America’s nominees for their own awards trend toward the AAA instead of indie titles, with Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Pillars of Eternity, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and The Witcher 3 leading the nominations.)

You can read my review of Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture over at Pixelkin; it definitely deserves the accolades.
