The Mini-NES Will Only Ever Have Those 30 Announced Games

Nintendo’s “new” console, the NES Classic Edition, is a mini NES that comes pre-loaded with 30 games and a full-size original controller for $60. But if you were hoping that they’d release more games later for the console, you’re out of luck. Nintendo told Kotaku that they will not be adding any more games to the mini NES after launch.

Nintendo also said the mini will be a completely standalone device, meaning it will not be able to connect to the internet and will not be able to connect to any external storage device. Also, the device will not be able to play old cartridges.

Here’s a list of the 30 games that come with NES Classic Edition:

  • Balloon Fight™
  • BUBBLE BOBBLE
  • Castlevania™
  • Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest™
  • Donkey Kong™
  • Donkey Kong Jr. ™
